Gathering many sports under one roof is the priority for the sports facilities of the future. The Dome Sweden gives Stockholm an impressive arena for international sports competitions and cultural events, and a daily home for players of every age and level.

A Stockholm where everything is possible

15,000-seat arena
Adapted for national and international competitions as well as socio-cultural events: the most prestigious sporting extravaganzas, concerts, stand-up comedy and many other innovative events.
World-class sports centre
Tennis, squash, badminton, table tennis, padel, beach tennis and touchtennis clubs. Fitness, well-being, spa, medicare and conference rooms.
Professional coaches in every sport
They design each member’s personal sports and health profile and follow their progress.
Education all year round
Organisation of sports conferences where world-renowned coaches share their experience and stimulate coaches as well as the new generation of players.
A safe environment
The Dome Sweden offers an environment where everyone feels safe, from the safety of the equipment to the interaction with members and the professionalism of the staff.
The Dome Sweden Sports Park
The public is encouraged to participate in outdoor sports, such as climbing walls, exercise machines and team sports in the field. The running track around the perimeter of the park is artificially frozen in winter for cross-country skiing.
A permanent Nordic home for federations and national teams
Stockholm has lacked a modern international venue for racquet sports for more than thirty years. The Dome Sweden offers federations, national teams, clubs and academies a permanent home in the region: a centre court built to international tournament requirements for capacity, lighting, court properties, media areas and logistics, and indoor courts available all year, something the Stockholm climate denies today.

Elite and everyday in the same building
Where world champions are born, and for everyone else too. Professionals and recreational players train side by side; the next generation does not have to leave Sweden to develop.
Year-round indoor training
Priority training access for national teams, academies and junior programmes through the winter, and competition weeks agreed with the federation’s own calendar.
Centre court to concert in under four hours
The 15,000-seat centre court converts from competition to event in under four hours: a tennis final on Sunday afternoon, a concert in the evening.
Rehabilitation and medicare
Sports medicine, rehabilitation, wellness and spa under the same roof as the courts, for members, visiting clubs and the public.
Conference and education
Facilities for conferences and sports education all year round, where world-renowned coaches share their experience with Swedish coaches and the next generation of players.
A hotel next to the arena
The site plan leaves room for a hotel next to The Dome Sweden: visiting teams, delegations, event audiences and conference guests on the same ground as the courts, and a separate development opportunity for a hotel investor or operator.
The model: the Bourbon Beans Dome, Miki City
The Dome Sweden is based on the successful and award-winning design by the Japanese architect Endo Shuhei: the Bourbon Beans Dome of Miki City, built near Kobe, Japan. Endo Shuhei is part of The Dome Sweden team.
The Bourbon Beans Dome shows what the concept looks like built: a curved roof set into the landscape, a centre court with stands under the same roof as the practice courts, and a park around it. The photos on this site are from that arena.

Sustainable from the inside out
The Dome Sweden’s construction and operation is sustainable through and through. It respects and promotes the environment and surrounding nature. In line with Sweden’s goal to reach net-zero emissions, it will strive to become the first fully sustainable and smart arena in Scandinavia.
